FAQ
Common questions about Golden Shore Logistics services, Southern California ports, tracking, and getting started.
General
Golden Shore Logistics coordinates ocean freight (FCL and LCL), air freight, port drayage, warehousing and transload, and customs and compliance support through Southern California’s major gateways, the Ports of Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Hueneme, from our Santa Barbara headquarters.
Use the Request a Quote form on our Contact page, or email shuron@goldenshorelogistics.com with origin, commodity, container or mode details, and destination. An account manager typically replies within 24 hours with a rate tailored to your move.
Our corporate headquarters is at 351 Paseo Nuevo, Floor 2, Santa Barbara, CA 93101. Operations are coordinated through the Ports of Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Hueneme, with warehousing and distribution support across Southern California.
Tracking & Visibility
Yes. Use Track Shipment on this site with your bill of lading, booking, or container number for status updates. Account customers also receive proactive milestone notices from their Golden Shore coordinator as cargo moves from vessel to terminal to door.
Account customers with warehousing or transload programs receive inventory and order status through our operations team and warehouse systems, so you can monitor stock levels and outbound releases without guessing at the dock.
Warehousing & Distribution
Yes. We support inventory receiving, storage, pick and pack, and outbound distribution for importers and brands that need Southern California fulfillment tied to port arrivals, including transfers from LA, Long Beach, and Hueneme terminals.
Facilities in our network use controlled access, surveillance, and documented receiving procedures so cargo is protected from gate in through outbound load. Ask your account manager for the security profile that applies to your commodity and storage program.
Drayage & Transportation
Yes. Drayage is a core capability for Golden Shore. We run appointments and pulls through the Ports of Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Hueneme, coordinating terminal windows, chassis, and inland delivery so containers keep moving after vessel discharge.
Yes. We arrange less than truckload and full truckload moves for domestic distribution after port or warehouse release. Whether you need a partial load or a dedicated truck, we match capacity to the shipment so delivery stays on timeline.
Yes, when parcel is the right last mile option. We can stage parcel outbound from warehouse or cross dock programs and hand off to parcel carriers so smaller orders ship efficiently alongside your larger freight.
Cross Docking
Cross docking moves inbound cargo from vessel, rail, or truck directly onto outbound trucks with minimal storage time. It cuts double handling, shortens dwell, and can reduce warehouse cost when your freight needs a fast turn from Southern California ports to inland destinations.
Cross docking works best for time sensitive, floor loaded, or pre allocated freight that should not sit in storage. If your program depends on quick turnaround after LA, Long Beach, or Hueneme arrival, we can assess whether cross dock or short term warehouse storage is the better fit.
Customer Support
Our Santa Barbara office is available Monday through Friday during standard business hours (Pacific Time). Operations support for active, tracked shipments is available 24/7 so gate issues, vessel changes, and delivery exceptions do not wait for the next morning.
We accept ACH transfers, electronic invoicing, and major credit cards (processing fees may apply). Billing terms are confirmed during account setup. Contact your account manager or email shuron@goldenshorelogistics.com for billing questions.
